Town of Wellton Public Hearing Regarding Uses of CDBG Funds

The Town of Wellton is expected to receive approximately $617,000 in FY 2024 Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds Regional Account from the Arizona Department of Housing. The Town of Wellton also intends to apply for approximately $500,000 in FY 2023 and FY 2024 competitive CDBG funds from the State Special Project account and approximately $1.8 million in FY 2023-2024 competitive Colonia funds. CDBG funds must be used to benefit low-income persons and areas, alleviate slum and blight or address urgent needs. A public hearing will be held at 6:00 p.m. on January 11, 2024, at Town of Wellton Council Chambers located at 28634 Oakland Avenue, Wellton, AZ 85356 to gather citizen input on the use of the CDBG funds.
