Wellton-Mohawk Tractor Rodeo (3rd Saturday in January) at the Wellton-Mohawk
Irrigation & Drainage District grounds, 30570 Wellton Mohawk Drive.
Annual community benefit to support the Yuma Regional Medical Foundation.
Biscuit & Sausage Breakfast, Barbecue Beef Dinner, Entertainment,
Tractor Rodeo games, Antique Tractor Display, Antique Tractor Pull, assorted
food and demonstration booths, games & rides. For further information, please call the YRMC Foundation at 928-344-2000.
February
Annual Pioneer Day Parade & Fiesta. (1st Saturday in February) Parade starts as 10:00 a.m. from Westside Park to Dome Street. Fiesta
to follow parade at Butterfield Park. Carne Asada Dinner, assorted food
booths, arts and crafts, games, demonstration booths, carnival at the Butterfield Golf Course Driving Range starting Thursday evening before
Pioneer Day.
May
Water Dog Day at the N.D. & Katie Kline Pool, 29318
Bakersfield Avenue. Marks the first day of the summer pool season. Pool
admission FREE! This event is sponsored by the Town of
Wellton. The Town provides hot dogs and punch for lunch. Date to be announced.
July
4th of July Fireworks, July 4th at Butterfield Park, 10234
Dome Street. Fireworks provided by the Wellton Parks and Recreation Commission.
Fireworks go off after dark. Food booths available.
October
Kiwanis Fishing Derby (1st Saturday of October) at the Butterfield Golf Course Proshop Pond, Wellton, Arizona. Kids of all ages fish and compete
for trophies in three age groups. Starts at 7:00 a.m. Breakfast rolls,
coffee and juice will be sold.
Tri-Valley Ambulance Annual Benefit (3rd Saturday in October) at the Tacna Fire Department, 40140 Missouri Avenue, Tacna, Arizona. Annual Benefit Barbecue and Dance, Dessert Bar, Silent Auction, $5,000
Drawing. Dinner tickets are $10.00 each, Big Tickets for
$5,000 drawing are $150.00. Contact Susan Dodd at 928-503-1460 to buy your ticket or if you have any questions. This is a community fundraiser to benefit
Tri-Valley Ambulance Service.
November
Fall Festival at the Wellton Elementary School (29126 San Jose Avenue in Wellton). There will be games and prizes for all ages. Date and time to be announced. November 6, 2010 from 5:00 – 9:00 at Wellton School
Kiwanis Turkey Dinner at the Wellton
Community Center, 10234 Dome Street, Wellton, AZ. Turkey and all the trimmings will
be served. Dinner tickets will be sold by Kiwanis Club members. Date and time to be announced.
December
Christmas Tree Lighting at Westside
Park, 28489 Los Angeles Avenue, Wellton, Arizona. Annual Christmas Tree
Lighting sponsored by the Wellton Parks and Recreation Commission. Santa
visits with goodies for all the kids, cookies and hot cocoa provided. Date and time to be announced.
