5. Recess as Common Council of the Town of Wellton and convene a public hearing as the Board of Adjustment of the Town of Wellton to consider the following items
A. REZONING CASE #07-205: Mr. Andrew W. Steinly requests a rezoning of Lots 1, 23, & 24 of the Wellton Annex, Block 34 (Parcel #203-20-048-05-2) from Residential District to Commercial District for the purpose of establishing a storefront building facing William Street.
Adjourn as Board of Adjustment for the Town of Wellton and reconvene as the Common Council of the Town of Wellton.
6. Discussion and action to consider recommendations of the Board of Adjustment for the Town of Wellton in the matter of Rezoning Case #07-205, a request by Mr. Andrew W. Steinly requesting a rezoning of Lots 1, 23, & 24 of the Wellton Annex, Block 34 (Parcel #203-20-048-05-2) from Residential District to Commercial District for the purpose of establishing a storefront building facing William Street.
7. First Reading of Ordinance #88, an ordinance of the Town of Wellton, Arizona, relating to the privilege license tax; amending the town tax code by imposing an additional tax on transient lodging; providing penalties for the violation thereof; providing for severability and designating an effective date.
8. Discussion and possible action to entertain the possibility of allowing billboards, which are currently not allowed according to our Planning and Zoning Ordinance, to be erected within Town limits along I-8 on both private property and Town property and the processes involved in approving these requests.
9. Discussion and possible action to enter into and intergovernmental agreement with the State of Arizona, Division of Emergency Management (ADEM) and Yuma County, for and on behalf of the Town of Wellton. This agreement shall apply to funds provided by or through the State to the Subrecipient, pursuant to the United States Department of Homeland Security, Office of Grants and Training (US DHS/G&T), for all fiscal years.
10. Discussion and possible action to review the process of submitting to the voters of the Town of Wellton the option to adopt an Alternative Expenditure Limitation – Home Rule Option at the Primary Election to be held on March 13, 2007 and to give staff direction on this issue.
