Notice is hereby given to the Mayor and Common Council of the Town of Wellton, and the general public that the Council will hold a regular meeting, open to the public, on Tuesday, the 15th day of October, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. in the Wellton Town Hall Council Chambers, 28634 Oakland Avenue, Wellton, Arizona.  The Council will discuss and may take action on the following matters:

DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS
1. Annexation #001-03
    A. First Reading of Ordinance #77, an ordinance extending the corporate limits of the Town of Wellton, Yuma County, State of Arizona, pursuant to the provisions of Title 9, Chapter 445, Arizona Revised Statutes, and amendments thereto, by annexing thereto certain territory contiguous to the existing town limits of the Town of Wellton
 
2.  Discussion and possible action to award a bid for the purchase of a five-passenger fire truck equipped with a 1,000 gallon, 1,250 gpm Class A pumper and 40-gallon foam system to Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. in the amount of $170,045.

3.  Discussion and possible action for a request for financial assistance to Helping Hands.
 
4.  Authorization to opening checking account #0220005874 for the 2001 U.S. Department of Justice Equipment Grant Program and authorize Mayor, Vice Mayor and Town Manager to sign the signature card.
 
5.  Discussion and possible action to adopt Resolution #388, a resolution of the Town of Wellton adopting the 2002 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy prepared by the Western Arizona Economic Development District and supporting the designation of the Western Arizona Economic Development District as a federally designated Economic Development District for the Counties of Yuma, La Paz and Mohave.
